More than sixty guests, including residents, staff and our friends and supporters, attended a picnic at Whitehall Park on Thursday 2nd June.
Thirty residents from Elmwood and Homefield made the short journey from their homes to the park in glorious sunshine and enjoyed a lovely picnic that had been specially prepared for the event by
Pride Catering.
Our party made the most of the good weather and the large open spaces by playing a number of outdoor games after lunch, which included velcro tennis and parachute games.
Before returning back to Elmwood and Homefield our guests made a visit to an ice cream van and cooled down with some tasty ice lollies.
Joy Corbett, Activities Coordinator, commented,
'thank you to all of the relatives and friends who contributed to this wonderful afternoon - everyone had a fantastic time. One of our residents added that it had been the most lovely afternoon ever!'
