Residents at Elmwood care home, Bickley, celebrated the finale of a four week art project yesterday.
The community project included students from nearby
Marjorie McClure School and was led by Marion Tasker, Arts Therapist, from St
Christopher’s Hospice, Sydenham.
Over the four week project, participants created a number of wonderfully colourful pieces, using a variety of different mediums.  A particular highlight, was silk painting, which our residents found to be very enjoyable, easy to do and very effective.  These are now on display throughout the home.
Joy Corbett, Activities Coordinator explained,
’everyone who took part had a really fantastic time, and loved getting to know the children - they made us a really wonderful thank you card whihc we will treasure, and look forward to working with the school and St Christopher’s Hospice again’.
