Residents set to benefit from new reminiscence programme

Morton House has been selected as one of fourteen care homes to benefit from funding awarded to Age Exchange that will enable reminiscence projects to run over the next two years.

Age Exchange is a national charity, based in nearby Blackheath, that works with older people to improve their quality of life with reminiscence.

The project at Morton House will be led by two professional reminiscence worked from Age Exchange and run for a total of eight weeks. Residents will be able to explore reminiscence themes with the aid of period artefacts, music, archive sound and film and other sensory stimuli.

Willett House sponsored walk

The residents, staff and supporters of Willett House will complete a short sponsored walk from their home in Kemnal Road, Chislehurst, to raise funds for a special garden feature that is currently being planned.

Morton House residents visit Hall Place

Our activities coordinators, Joan and Dorcas, will be taking a group of residents to visit Hall Place, Bexley on 14^th October.

 

At Hall Place residents can visit formal gardens and herbaceous borders as well as a sub-tropical glasshouse where bananas are ripening. There is also a nursery where residents will have the chance to purchase some plants. Afterwards we will relax in the riverside tearooms.

Residents visit the Glades Shopping Centre, Bromley

A group of residents will be visiting Bromley shopping centre on the 23^rd October for some retail therapy and a spot of afternoon tea.

The Mission Care Annual General Meeting 2010, will be held at Christ Church, Bromley on Thursday 4th November from 7pm.
