Just Jan returns to Elmwood
Residents are invited to join us in the ground floor lounge from 11am as we welcome ’Just Jan’ back to Elmwood on Wednesday 27th April.
Jan will be serenading us with her lovely voice, singing favourites from the likes of Connie Francis and Pasty Cline. Families and friends are invited to join us, as we sing along to the ones we recognise.

Good Friday Fun at Greenhill
Good Friday brings many activities for our residents and their families to enjoy. Please come and join us from 11am as we begin our day with an Easter egg hunt in the activities area, will you be lucky enough to find one?
The afternoon will be a creative one as we decorate some Easter bonnets and take part in other arts and crafts activities such as making cards and painting chicks!

Good Friday celebrations at Homefield
There are many activities happening throughout the day on Good Friday for our residents and their families and friends to enjoy.
John Smith from Jubilee Church will be starting the day off from 10.30am as he holds a service followed by prayer and hymns.
There will then be a number of hands on activities taking place where we will be joined by our volunteers. So come along to the activities area to get creative by making, painting, gluing or colouring! By the end of the day we hope to have made a small Easter garden and two houses for our Easter chicks. There will also be other arts and crafts activities to join in with so please do join us!

Full Steam Ahead for Willett House residents
Residents from Willett House will be attending the Bluebell Railway on Thursday 21st April. Where they can enjoy the experience of 50 years of preserved steam in the hear of Sussex. They are also known to serve up a good fish and chip supper at the Station!

A day of Easter fun for residents and their loved ones
Residents and their families and friends are invited to join us on Thursday 21st April as we embark on our Easter Celebrations.
We will begin the day with a themed quiz in the morning, followed by our very own Easter egg hunt! The afternoon will see us decorating Easter bonnets and the drawing of our Easter Raffle at 4pm.

Musical duo to visit Elmwood

Sing-a-long for residents at Greenhill
Residents at Greenhill will be joined by entertainer Mark Allain on Wednesday 20th April from 3pm.
Mark will be singing hits from his large collection of old time songs, taking requests from residents so they can join in and enjoy a good old sing-a-long.

Southwark Swing
Residents from Love Walk are looking forward to attending ’Southwark Swing’ at the fabulous Rivoli Ballrooms, Brockley for an afternoon tea dance and live music from the South London Jazz Orchestra.

Residents to visit educational museum
A small group of Morton House residents will be visiting ’The Pump House’ in Rotherhithe on Tuesday 19th April.
The Pump House is houses the Rotherhithe Heritage Museum and a variety of historical exhibitions and in addition offers further educational opportunities in the environmental study centre using the Lavender Pond and Nature Park, an oasis of peaceful relaxation in an urban environment. Easter celebrations
Residents at Love Walk will mark the beginning of Holy Week with a day of Easter celebrations on Holy Monday. This will include an address by Steve Taylor of the London City Mission, music and song from David Dellaire and a special Easter raffle.
Residents will also watch an episode of ’The Passion’ (a four part BBC series charting the final week of Jesus’ life) this afternoon and complete the series through Holy Week, concluding on Easter Sunday.

Palm Sunday service
Accompanied by our staff, residents from Love Walk will attend the Palm Sunday service at Westminster Cathedral for the blessing of palms, procession and solemn mass.

Reminiscence pods are coming to Willett House
Willett House will be the second of our homes to be treated to a 1950’s experience on Friday 8th April.
Residents are invited to come along to the activities area where a living room from a 1950’s home will be created taking our residents back in time. The reminiscence pod includes a fully functional TV and radio! Make sure you come along for this unique experience!

Group gardening party
We will be joining many others in a group gardening party at Chumleigh Gardens, Burgess Park on Friday 8th April.
Everyone is invited to join us, there is a small cost of £2 be involved, this does cover a drink and some lunch. We will be leaving Love Walk at 10am, do come and join us!

Afternoon out for Morton House residents
A group of residents will enjoy a trip to the ever popular Polhill Garden Centre in Sevenoaks on Thursday 7th April.
Residents will be able to enjoy the sights of the new spring flowers, perusing through the clothes sale as well as a lunch out at the lovely Novells restaurant.

Revisiting the 50’s at Greenhill
Residents at Greenhill are invited to come along to the activities area and be the first to try out the sensational reminiscence pods on Thursday 7th April.
’Reminiscence Pods’ will be coming to Greenhill with their brand new, as seen on TV, pop up stand which recreates a scene from a 1950’s home. These therapeautic pods come complete with a fully working tv and radio and will provide a naturally calming experience. Be sure to come along and take a step back in time!

Penny Clothing returns to Elmwood
Residents can enjoy a touch of retail therapy as Penny Clothings return to Elmwood on Thursday 7th April from 10.30am.
This is usually a well attended event where residents can look at what’s on offer, purchasing anything they like for themselves or even their loved ones. As always, families and friends are also invited to join us!

A trip to Royal Grounds
On Thursday 7th April, a group of residents will enjoy a visit to Eltham Palace, which was once home to many Royals, most notably, King Henry the VIII.
Not only does Eltham Palace offer wonderful Art Deco
surroundings, it has stunning gardens, where if the sun is shining, we can enjoy a spot of lunch together taking in the view.
