An outing ’surprise’ for residents at Elmwood
A group of residents are looking forward to a day out on Wednesday 31st March.
Depending on the weather, we hope to enjoy some sunshine out in the open. If the British weather fails us, we shall visit Polhill Garden centre to peruse through the nurseries and shopping village before stopping for some lunch.

Jill to hit the high notes at Elmwood
Residents and their relatives and friends are all warmly invited to join us as we welcome back Jill Haggata and her husband, Barry, to Elmwood on Wednesday 30th March.
Jill will be hitting the high notes with her stunning Soprano voice while Barry plays the piano. Please join us in the second floor lounge from 3pm to see this duo perform.

Royal Wedding ’Street Party’
Residents at Willett House will enjoy a street party style celebration in the gardens of the home (weather permitting!) to celebrate the impending marriage of Prince William and Miss Kate Middleton.
We’ll have plenty of punting and lovely food and musical entertainment in advance of viewing the big day on our large television on Friday.
All of our residents’ relatives, friends and supporters of the home are warmly invited to celebrate with us.

Friends of Morton House meeting
This is a preliminary meeting to discuss and share our ideas for the proposed ’Friends of Morton House’ group.
The purpose is the group is intended to bring together the friends and relatives of our residents and other supporters of the home who wish to be more involved and supportive of activities at the home.

Picnic and Walk
Residents and staff are taking part in Southwark’s Change for Life ’Picnic and Walk for Life’ on Saturday 19th March.
This is a free family event where ’Southwark Change for Life’ will be bringing a West African feel to healthy living.
There will be different activities happening throughout the day including bounce, hula hop, bicycle stunts, African dance and recipe inspirations.
Our residents families and friends are all invited to join us for what will be an enjoyable day for all.

An afternoon of Jazz and Art at Southbank
Residents are attending Friday Tonic at the Southbank Centre on 18th March. Friday Tonic profiles the best in Jazz along with up and coming artists, improvised musics and also features other genres and art.
We will then go on to visit the Hayward Gallery which has been described as ’One of London’s most important spaces for displaying contemporary art’.
After a busy morning enjoying music and art, we will choose a nice location along the river setting down for a late afternoon picnic together.

Elmwood are hosting their very own Easter Sale on Friday 18th March from 10.30am.

A group of residents, along with Mags and Jean, will be visiting Londons Science Museum on Thursday 18th March.
