Memorial afternoon at Willett House

Father Beer from the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be leading a service in memory of our previous residents on Thursday 25th November from 3.30pm.

Our families and friends of past and current residents are invited to join us as as light candles in loving memory. There will also be refreshments available throughout the afternoon.

Indoor shopping experience for our residents!

Penny’s Clothing will be bringing their merchandise to Elmwood on Thursday 25th November for our residents to peruse, they may also purchase a gift or two for themself or a loved one should they wish to.

Afternoon of song at Elmwood

On Monday 22nd November our residents are invited to gather in the ground floor lounge at 3pm as we welcome Anna Golding to Elmwood for the first time.

Anna will be singing some of our old time favourite songs for us. Our families and friends are all invited to join us too!

A trip to ’Cologne’ for Love Walk residents

Some of our residents from Love Walk will be attending a German style market held at Southbank on Friday 19th November.

They will be able to wander around the enchanting market, looking at the unusually wonderful gifts on offer at the impressive 60 wooden style chalets.

From jewellery to tin toys our residents are sure to find some Christmas goodies they would like to buy.

They can also enjoy a glass of Glühwein”, classic German mulled wine along with a famous Bratwurst to keep them warm if they wish.

Everyone is invited to join us on this wonderful trip, please let Mags, our activities coordinator, know if you would like to attend.

Taryn Kay brings 50’s and 60’s alive again

Residents will be welcoming Taryn Kay to Willett House for the first time on Friday 19th November.

Taryn will be bringing us an eclectic mix of songs from the 50’s and 60’s. Relatives and friends are warmly welcome to join us from 2.30pm in the activities area.

Afternoon entertainment for Homefield

Our residents at Homefield will be joined by perfomer Polly Raymond on Thursday 18th November.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join us as we welcome Polly to Homefield for the first time. We will be serenaded by Polly who will be singing some classics that we can all sing-a-long to.

The King returns to Elmwood

Gary King will be performing at Elmwood on Wednesday 17th November.

After Gary’s previous performances, we warmly welcome him back as he impersonates the likes of great legends the King himself, Elvis and rat-pack singer Dean Martin.

Fundraising afternoon tea

Residents, relatives, friends and supporters are invited to join us on Wednesday 17th November as we enjoy an afternoon of fundraising fun!

We will announce the outcome of our fundraising efforts over the last  week and thank everyone who has helped us acheive this with plenty of nice refreshments and afternoon cake.

Just Jan returns to Elmwood

Residents, relatives and supporters are all invited to join us as we welcome back, Just Jan, to Elmwood on Wednesday 17th November.

Jan will be singing a collection of old time songs for us to sing-a-long to, including some hits from the likes of Patsy Cline and Connie Francis. Please do join us in the second floor lounge from 11am.

Residents will be ’Rolling Back the Years’

Our residents are looking forward to visiting the Broadway Theatre in Catford on the 17th November when the group will enjoy a performance of the new show, ‘Rolling Back the Years’.

The show features tributes to some of the world’s greatest stars, including Glen Miller, Fred Astair, Buddy Holly, Cliff Richard, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Dolly Parton, Abba and many more. sounds from some of the greatest movies and musicals, such as ‘Grease’, ‘Lord of the Dance’, and ‘The Sound of Music’ are also included in this exciting performance.

Love Walk residents visit Florence Nightingale Museum

On Tuesday 16th November, a group of residents from Love Walk will be joining Mags, our activities coordinator, on a trip back back to the 1800’s when one lady made history.

They will be visiting the Florence Nightingale Museum, London, where they will learn more about one of the most influential women of all time. There will be artefacts for our residents to look at as they get the know the full story behind the legend that is, Florence Nightingale.

Morning entertainment at Homefield

Students from the Bishop Justus Church of England School will be joining our residents at Homefield on Monday 15th November from 11am.

Friends of Greenhill afternoon tea and table sale

The Friends of Greenhill will hold their annual afternoon tea and table sale event on Saturday 13th November from 2pm.

All of our residents and their relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend the afternoon’s event which will help to raise funds for all of the wonderful activities and celebrations that the Friends group host in the home throughout the year.

Home shopping for Homefield

Our residents at Homefield will enjoy the luxury of shopping from their own home on Thursday 11th November.

’Penny’s Clothing’ will be visiting Homefield with a selection of items our residents can browse through at their leisure with the option to buy if they so wish.

A day out for residents at Love Walk

A group of resident’s will be heading to Greenwich for the day on Thursday 11th November.

There is lots to do in Greenwich with a wide variety of sites to see, including the Queens House or The National Maritime Museum. Weather permitting they may also take a stroll around the glorious Greenwich Park.

Singing duo return to Elmwood

Elmwood resident’s will be welcoming back singing duo Melvis and Leroy on Wednesday 10th November.

The duo will be performing some of our favourite songs everyone is invited to join in from 3pm. Relatives and friends are also welcome to join us to.

Homefield’s fundraising bonaza!

For the next week only, Avon beauty products and gifts will be available to purchase in the foyer at Homefield as we prepare for our Christmas celebrations.

All proceeds raised will go towards our Christmas hamper that will be given away at this years Christmas party taking place on Friday 17th December.

Love Walk go contemporary

Residents from Love Walk will be visiting the South London Gallery on Tuesday 9th November .

The gallery is well known for it’s contemporary arts and has many exhibitions happening this week including the show case of Tatiana Trouve’s work.

Eltham College students performing at Elmwood

A group of students from Eltham College music class will be visiting our residents at Elmwood on Thursday 4th November.

The group will be singing songs and playing instruments for us which will be folllowed by afternoon tea and cake. Our residents would like to invite their friends and families to join us on this occasion.

Bringing ’Swing’ to Elmwood

Residents are invited to gather as we welcome Mark Sedgwick to Elmwood on Wednesday 3rd November.

Mark will be bringing a bit of ’swing’ to Elmwood as he sings classics from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Andy Williams and many more.

Jamie Steen will be returning to Elmwood on Wednesday 3rd November.

Residents to visit local Museum

Some of our residents from Love Walk, Denmark Hill will be visiting the very close by Horniman Museum this afternoon.

The museum has a lot to offer, with a variety of galleries to walk round including music, natural history and african worlds. They also have there very own aquarium and hold many arts and craft sessions throughout the day.

The Horniman Museum is surrounded by beautiful gardens, if the weather isn’t too cold maybe they will have a chance to walk around and see the changes that Autumn is bringing to the outdoors.

Piano recital and afternoon tea

Pianist Ian Costello will visit Elmwood on Saturday 6th November to perform a recital on the grand piano in the ground floor foyer.
