Fifth birthday celebrations

All of our residents, relatives and friends, staff and supporters are warmly invited to join us as we mark five years of care at Elmwood, since the reopening of the home in new premises.

A short service will be led by Wendy, our pastoral worker from the London City Mission before a celebratory cake is served.

The Hobow Brothers come to Elmwood

Residents, families and friends are invited to join us as we welcome the Hobow Brothers to Elmwood for the first time on Wednesday 27th October.

They will be performing some golden oldies along with playing a variety of instruments, get ready to join in in what will be a great afternoon.

Residents visit the Glades Shopping Centre, Bromley

A group of residents will be visiting Bromley shopping centre on the 23rd October for some retail therapy and a spot of afternoon tea.

Willett House sponsored walk

The residents, staff and supporters of Willett House will complete a short sponsored walk from their home in Kemnal Road, Chislehurst, to raise funds for a special garden feature that is currently being planned.

Friends of Greenhill Harvest Celebration

All of our residents, relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend the ’Friends of Greenhill Harvest Celebration’, which will take place on Wednesday 20th October at the home from 2pm.

Piano at Elmwood

Pianist Ian Costello will be playing a short concert for our residents and their families and friends in the foyer this afternoon. A bufffet tea will be served afterwards.

Residents cheer on local team

A group of residents from Love Walk will be supporting local football team, Dulwich Hamlets, as they take on Hasting United on Saturday 16th October.

Residents at Elmwood join in local Harvest Festival

A group of residents from Elmwood will be visiting Mead Road Infant School as they join the students in their celebrations of the Harvest Festival. Residents will be joining them on Thursday 14th October from 2pm.

Morton House residents visit Hall Place

Our activities coordinators, Joan and Dorcas, will be taking a group of residents to visit Hall Place, Bexley on 14th October.

 

At Hall Place residents can visit formal gardens and herbaceous borders as well as a sub-tropical glasshouse where bananas are ripening. There is also a nursery where residents will have the chance to purchase some plants. Afterwards we will relax in the riverside tearooms.

An afternoon show for residents

Residents are invited to join us as we warmly welcome, Gordon Dennington, back to Elmwood.

Gordon will be taking us back in time this morning with a slide show illustrating music and musical venues from the Victorian times.

Shopping trip for residents of Morton House

Joan and Dorcas, our activities coordinators, will be assisting some of our residents on a morning of shopping at the local shopping centre in Lewisham.

Volunteers visit Homefield

A group of volunteers will be joining our residents at Homefield for a musical morning on Tuesday 12th October.

Residents will have the opportunity to listen to old time favourite songs and sing-a-long if they please. The volunteers will also spend some time talking to our residents.

Derek Little to perform at Homefield

Homefield residents will be joined by entertainer, Derek Little, Thursday 7th October from 2.30pm.

Derek will be performing many of our favourites songs for us, if you know the words and would like to join in please do!

Flute recital at Elmwood

Residents will be welcoming Becky Lewis, for the first time, to Elmwood on Monday 4th October at 11am.

Becky is a student at Bishop Justus CofE School and will be playing the flute for us. All of our families, friends and supporters are welcome to join us for this musical morning.

Musician comes to Love Walk

Residents will be welcoming musician Neil Nayar to Love Walk on Friday 1st October.

Neil will be performing some of our favourite songs for us to sing-a-long to whilst he plays some instruments. Families and friends are invited to join us.
