Residents and staff join together for ’Show and Tell’
Residents and staff from Love Walk, Denmark Hill shall be hosting their own ‘show and tell’ session to celebrate Black History Month and United Nations Day. Everyone shall be bringing in an item from their history that everyone can talk about such as pictures, ornaments or even a piece of clothing. Feel free to join us for this fascinating session!

Love Walk celebrate Diwali the festival of light!
Residents from Love Walk shall be taking a trip to Southall to celebrate Diwali the festival of light! Our residents shall be visiting a Hindu Temple, browse around the shops and also stop off for a traditional Indian meal.

Popular singer to return to Elmwood
We are delighted to welcome back, Sue Kennett to Elmwood nursing home on Wednesday 26th October.
Residents can enjoy an afternoon of music and song as Sue performs her own version of some classic hits, singing along to the numbers they know.

Performer at Greenhill
Almond Greenway will be performing for our residents at Greenhill on Wednesday 26th October from 3pm.

A group of residents to visit popular garden centre
A group of residents from Greenhill, Bromley will be visiting popular garden centre, Polhill in Sevenoaks on Wednesday 26th October.
Whilst there the residents will be able to admire the nurseries, enjoy a spot of pre-Christmas shopping as well as relaxing in the cafe with a coffee and some cake.

Love Walk to watch ’Harp and Flute recital’

Love Walk to visit ’The Cell Project’
Residents from Love Walk, Denmark Hill shall be taking a trip to the Royal Festival Hall on Monday 17th October, to view the "Go to Jail" exhibition.
The show displays real life conditions of a jail which accommodated over 86,000 prisoners on a daily basis. The interactive exhibition allows you to talk with fictional characters who discuss their time spent in prison whilst serving their sentences.

Students to return to Elmwood
On Thursday 13th October residents at Elmwood nursing home will be joined by students from Eltham College.
The students are from the College’s music group and visit us every fortnight entertaining our residents with a wonderful musical performance.

One man band returns to Greenhill

People Pictures & Places Exhibition
Love Walk residents shall be heading back into time when they explore the local history exhibition ‘Pictures, Places, and People: Elephant to Camberwell at the Cuming Museum.’
The exhibition shall display photographs and pictures from the Local History Library and Southwark Art Collection and is told through voice of the local residents.

Love Walk to re-live the sounds of Bob Marley
On Monday 10th October a group of residents from Love Walk, Denmark Hill shall be heading over to Dulwich Library for a Bob Marley and jazz evening!
Historian and BBC producer Colin Grant shall be talking about the biography he wrote about the classic reggae sounds and fantastic music group The Wailers.

Afternoon theatre trip for residents
A small group of residents will be accompanied by Jimmy as they watch the the show stopping performance of ’Calendar Girls’ at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley on Monday 10th October.

Imperial War museum trip
In celebration of Black History Month, a group of residents will be visiting the Imperial War Museum on Saturday 8th October.
They will be able to examine objects from the First World War Collection and learn more of the personal stories of black soldiers who fought for the British Empire. There will also be other exhibitions for our group to peruse.
If the weather is nice the group can enjoy a nice picnic in one of the local parks.
