A team of fourteen supporters, comprising colleagues and the family and friends of current and previous members of staff are preparing to complete the Adidas Women’s 5k Challenge this Sunday.

The fundraising event, which takes place in London’s Hyde Park will see an expected 40,000 women join together to raise funds and awareness for hundreds of different charities and appeals.

The Mission Care team includes Gladys Makarawo, Registered Manager and two care members of care staff from Morton House care home, Lewisham Park, who will be raising funds that will specifically benefit the care home with nursing’s twenty seven older residents. The remaining runners who work in Mission Care’s support services have chosen to direct the proceeds of their fundraising efforts to the Living God Orphanage in Suryapet, India.

To support our runners, please visit Mission Care’s Virgin Money Giving web page or the group’s event page and check back next week to see how they performed in Sunday’s run!
