Caribbean flavours at Love Walk

A corner of Denmark Hill was awash with Caribbean flavours on Saturday 7th August, when the residents and staff of Love Walk hosted a wonderful Caribbean barbeque.
A local steel band performed twice throughout the afternoon and both our residents and staff, joined by their neighbours on Love Walk and relatives and friends, were the first to get up and dance to the music.
The Caribbean theme was continued with the amazing food prepared by our kitchen, that was on offer. This included traditional jerk chicken, salt fish, festivals and lots of delicious salads and breads. Big slices of watermelon and other fresh fruits were also available.
Everyone had a wonderful afternoon, enjoying the good company and good food on offer - it was only the poor weather and drizzly rain that strayed from the event's Caribbean theme!
