Local history in Denmark Hill

A group of Love Walk residents were led on a special walking tour of Denmark Hill and the surrounding areas by local history enthusiast, John Chapel on Friday 11th February.

John pointed out lots of interesting architectural features which helped our residents imagine Denmark Hill as it would have looked centuries before.

On their return to the home, our residents poured over lots of old maps and photographs that revealed the sweeping meadows that covered much of Southwark in the past as they enjoyed afternoon tea and biscuits with John.
