Celebrating International Women’s Day

A group of our female residents from Love Walk, visited the Women of the World festival at London's Southbank last week.

The festival which coincided with the centenary of International Women's Day is described as 'a joyous celebration of the formidable strength and inventiveness of women' and launched this year.

Accompanied by Registered Manager, Jacqueline Perdrix-Howard, our residents listened to several talks by inspiring women from all over the world, including a farmer from Guatemala and a documentary maker from the BBC.  Afterwards they create a 'zine' in a workshop, before returning back to Denmark Hill, suitably inspired!
