Two residents from Morton House, accompanied by carers Dorcas and Babatunde took part in the Dancing stAGE event at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Friday the 9th July.

Clara and Frank have participated in a collaborative dance programme with children from nearby Baring School for the last six weeks, as part of a project facilitated by Entelenchy Arts, Deptford.

The culmination of the collaboration was celebrated with ’The Big Dance’ a high profile dance event, accompanied by a live band, that recognised age and intergenerational activity in a positive and dynamic way.

Dorcas Fatudimu, Activities Coordinator explained that ’our residents had the most fantastic time at the Southbank, they were so happy and didn’t want to leave after the performance. We had a wonderful time getting to know the students of Baring School and would love the opportunity to take part in other community events in the future’.
