Nine members of care staff from Elmwood and Homefield care homes, Bickley, were the first of Mission Care’s staff to complete the Macmillan Cancer Relief’s ’Foundations in Palliative Care’ programme.
The training comprises of seven modules that was completed over seven days during January and February was delivered by Steph Storer, Clinical Practice Director and Claire Hardy, Practice Development Nurse.
The learner-focused programme will now be rolled out to all Mission Care’s care staff as part of our ongoing committment to developing and delivering a high standard of person-centred, end of life care.
