Delivering a high standard of dignified care is a priority for all of us at Mission Care 365 days of the year.
To help promote and raise awareness of the importance of dignity in care, all six of our homes marked 'Dignity Awareness Day', a national event backed by SCIE, with a special programme of activities and events.
At Elmwood, residents were treated to a visit from a professional manicurist and beautician before enjoying a delicious cream tea in the afternono. In Chislehurst, residents were visited by a musical duo who played a veritable orchestra's worth of instruments between them, performing a number of requests and favourites on a variety of brass and woodwind instruments.
Meanwhile at Love Walk, Denmark Hill, residents performed a short piece of drama after taking part in workshops earlier in the week and enjoyed acoustic music from Neil Naylor.
