A bespoke development programme, developed for Mission Care's newly appointed Senior Carers took place at the charity's support centre in Bromley earlier this week.

The two day course, led by Andy James of Performance Development Consulting was designed to support the development of our newly appointed Senior Carers into their role and to provide clarity of our expectations and opportunities for them and other future development programmes.

Mohamed Maudhoo, Senior Carer at Willett House explained, 'I found the programme very helpful, it was great to be able to share experiences with my colleagues from other homes and there was a fantastic ambience in the room.  I particularly enjoyed learning about the different communication techniques and approaches'.

The course covered a range of topics, which included the principles of effective people management, performance management and coaching, skills development and practice and will run again on the 29th and 30th March, 12th and 13th April and the 19th and 20th April.
