All of our homes were proudly decked in red, white and blue and metres of Union Jacks on Friday 29th April as our residents celebrated the marriage of Miss Catherine Middleton and Prince William.
Preparations were underway throughout the week when residents helped to create decorations and reminisced about previous Royal Weddings and there own special days.
At Elmwood, a growing display of wedding dresses helped to set the mood and prompted lots of discussion about what Catherine's dress would be like.
At Willett House, a street party style celebration was held and residents were joined by families and friends as the excitement grew.
On the day, residents in all of our homes watched the coverage of the event amidst lots of flag waving, the clinking of glasses and over delicious 'wedding' cake, prepared for the day by Pride Catering.
Congratulations William and Kate!
