International dance at Elmwood

The amazing dance company Balletomane visited our residents at Elmwood care home, Bickley on Saturday 11
th June for an afternoon of international dance.
The fantastic ballet company, who have visited Elmwood before, performed a wonderful selection of multicultural dances from around the world such as Spain, China and America. All of our residents were mesmerised and thoroughly enjoyed the show and this particular performance was different to all the others.
Two of our residents who previously used to be Ballet dancers commented
’how professional and elegant the dancers were’. After the show, two of the dancers stayed and put on an interactive ballet workshop where the dancers taught some of our residents their elegant and professional dance moves. Joy Corbett, activities coordinator said
’how wonderful the dancers were for giving up their time and energy to perform for us, and how warm and accommodating they all were’.
