Homes revisit The Pumphouse

Residents from Greenhill and Homefield enjoyed a day at The Pumphouse educational museum in Rotherhithe, on Tuesday 14th June, when residents from Morton House visited the centre after a successful visit in April.

The Pumphouse is a fantastic local facility and resource which currently faces an uncertain future after significant funding cuts from the local authority.

The Pumphouse is a unique centre, filled to the brim with lots of original, everyday items from throughout the early to mid parts of the twentieth century that are used in reminiscence sessions and activities that are held on site.

Other exhibits at the museum include information about local history, Rotherhithe and the river Thames.  Visitors can also learn more about conservation work in the local area.

Our residents, accompanied by activities coordinators, carers and Steve Taylor of the London City Mission had a wonderful afternoon in Rotherhithe and enjoying a picnic lunch in the wonderful sunshine.
