Through countryside to castles

On Friday 22nd July, a group of residents, relatives and staff visited Hever Castle, the former home of Anne Boleyn, one of King Henry VIII's many wives!

The day was forecast to be a showery one but as the group drove through the glorious Kent countryside the sun shone. Upon arrival they enjoyed tea and scones before strolling through the beautiful grounds of the castle.

On their journey around the grounds, the party discovered a water maze. The maze is a unique feature of the castle, where our residents were able to cool down with a surprise splash of water whilst navigating their way through.

After all the excitement the party enjoyed an Italian ice cream outside in the sun before heading back in time for supper.

A good day was had by all!
