Elmwood care home in Bickley has been accredited as a ‘Gold’ home at ‘commend’ level by the
Gold Standard Framework in acknowledgment of the outstanding end of life care that is provided by our staff to our residents.
The framework is a national training and quality assurance programme that enables care homes to deliver excellent care for all residents as they approach the end of life.
Ruth Rondozai, Manager at Elmwood explains ‘
I am privileged and delighted that the excellent end of life care at Elmwood provided by our staff has been recognised by the Gold Standard Framework. It gives us an opportunity to look at the broader picture of our care, activities and spiritual support’.
Nkwachi Ukaegbu previous Deputy Manager at Elmwood who also worked on the project, commented
‘that our staff at Elmwood worked extremely hard towards the GSF, and I know the effort has been acknowledged along with the good practice that continues to take place at Elmwood.
