Wartime artefacts galore

A group of residents took a trip back into time when they visited the Imperial War Museum on Thursday 26th January.

The museum is home to a number of historical wartime artefacts dating back to both the First and Second world wars such as military boats, ships and planes.

One of our residents who served in the Navy, spoke with the historians at the museum and our other residents about memories from the war that provided stimulating discussion. Our residents were also able to listen to recordings of old famous radio stations and broadcast speeches during the Second World War which the group were able to reminisce with each other about.

A nice lunch was enjoyed by all in the museum cafe before heading back to Chislehurst.
