HOMEFIELD VISIT MISSION CAFÉ

17 February 2017

Accompanied by the Activities Team, a group of Homefield residents recently took a trip to Mission Cafe in Bromley, Mission Care’s purpose-built dementia friendly cafe. Located near Bromley South station, Mission Cafe is a place that welcomes everyone but has a special focus on providing a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for people living with dementia and those who care for them.

Residents enjoyed a slice of delicious cake and a cup of tea. The tea was served in individual teapots so everyone was able to pour out their own aromatic brew. This was followed by various games, including family fortune card games.

’We had great fun and it was really nice to see the residents enjoying themselves’, commented Fanta Lansana, Activity Carer. ’With cake as good as that, it’s safe to say we’ll be paying another visit soon!’
