Beckenham Quilters return to Elmwood

The Beckenham Quilters visited Elmwood on Wednesday 21st July to see for themselves the beautiful patchwork quilts that our residents have created. The local quilting group first visited Elmwood nearly six months ago to present a number of pretty quilts that they had made for our residents and their visit left members of the home inspired to create their own patchwork quilts.

Polly, Jean and Mary spoke to our residents once more with enthusiasm and encouragement and were kind enough to bring a further six quilts for our residents, who were all delighted with their gifts and donated two quilting books to assist us with our next quilting project.

It was a wonderful afternoon for our residents, and we hope, our friends from The Beckenham Quilters, who have promised to return again very soon to lead a quilting master class for our residents!
