“All we can do is try and relieve the pressing necessities of the sick and suffering, to ease the burdens off weary, tired shoulders, and to bring something of the hope and comfort of the Gospel of Jesus Christ into our lives” Selena Fox, Mission Care founder.
To this day, Homefield is an environment that truly reflects our founder's vision of providing respite and care as well as hope and comfort for residents, relatives and staff alike. As a nursing home specifically focused on providing care for those living with advanced dementia, Homefield provides support beyond that just given to our residents.
When you walk through the doors, everybody knows your name. It is a place where you can seek comfort and familiarity and an environment that encourages you to share experiences – good and bad, happy and sad. It is a home that inspires community and a sense of belonging with kind hearted, passionate staff who go the extra mile for those they are caring for, be it residents, relatives, friends or loved ones.
Homefield has a bright activities and dining area situated at the front of the home, as well as additional communal areas on the first and second floors including a dedicated reminiscence and sensory room. The home features a large conservatory that leads onto a pleasant garden and patio area for our residents and their families to enjoy. We offer regular hairdressing, chiropody, optical, dental and oral hygiene services to our residents and our visiting GP works closely with our nursing staff to provide high standards of medical care as required.
