CHRISTMAS FUN AT ELMWOOD

16 January 2018

Elmwood was filled with festive cheer recently when relatives and supporters came together to join residents and staff for their annual Christmas party.

“It’s nice to bring everyone together and share this special time of year”, commented Nalidah Sookun, Activities Co-ordinator.

Everybody enjoyed the live entertainment by Sal De Concillis who performed songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s, including hits by Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and the Beatles as well as some favourite Christmas sing-alongs. There were lots of delicious sweet and savoury treats for everyone to enjoy as well as a variety of soft drinks.

“This is what we call Christmas!” resident Eileen told us. “The food was delightful.” Another resident, Joyce, also said “We enjoyed every moment of it!”

The team raised £265 from the raffle and all the money will be spent on activities in the home.

A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who came and helped to make Christmas so special at Elmwood!
