COOKING SUCCESS AT LOVE WALK

06 March 2018

The heavy snow last week meant a change in planned activities at Love Walk. To bring some warmth to the home, they decided to run a Caribbean cooking session making Jamaican beef patties.

“After chopping up all the ingredients including onions, celery, garlic, ginger, chillies, tomatoes, herbs and spices, we cooked them up together, before making our own Jamaican pastry mix with flour, butter and turmeric. We rolled out the patties, filled them with the beef mix and sealed them up”, reported Penny Brice, Activities Co-ordinator.

Residents and staff loved the patties and they all agreed on the verdict, “Absolutely delicious!”
