RESIDENTS REMINISCE THE 1950S
12 April 2018
Residents, relatives and staff at Elmwood journeyed into the past last week when they welcomed the 50s Jukebox Show. The entertainers from Red Gate Productions sang all the hits of the fifties, including songs by Doris Day, Elvis Presley, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole and Frankie Lymon. To add to the experience, they also dressed up in similar costumes to those worn in the 1950s.
The show brought back lots of good memories and residents enjoyed joining in with the dancing and singing. One of our residents, Lucy, noted, “That was very good. I liked it!” Joyce, another resident, commented how good the show was and said: “I know all the songs they sang. They are very good singers!”
The event was a treat and we can’t wait to go back in time again soon!
